A beautiful collection of Myles Birket Foster's illustrations of English landscapes becoming a charming celebration of rural scenery, each illustration accompanied with lovely verses by Tom Taylor.

Illustrated by Myles Birket Foster, a British illustrator, watercolourist and engraver in the Victorian period.

Engraved by The Brothers Dalziel, who created a prolific wood-engraving business in Victorian London, founded in 1839.

Written by Tom Taylor, a British writer.


CONDITION

In the original full vellum binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and light discolouration to the boards as is typical with ageing. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers.
