This is a stunning figure of a heron standing in long grass or reeds with its one leg tucked under its body.  It was made by Royal Copenhagen between 1990 and 1994 and was modelled by Theodor Madsen and his in itials are impressed at the back as shown in photograph 7. The painter's initials are YH. I am listing the other model of this bird with its beak down separately and the two form a matching pair. Please note, both were painted by the same painter, YH. The original model number of this heron was 532 which is impressed above the factory mark but in 1991 new codes were introduced and this was given the new number 068. As it is showing both numbers I would think it was made in 1991/92, just as the numbers changed over.
