Up for sale is an 1860’s Antique Cabinet Card CDV featuring Emancipated or Freed ’White’ Children. Similar CDV Photos of Children were made to bring awareness of the children left behind after the Civil War. Often referred to as Mixed Race or ‘Mulatto’ This photograph was taken by Henry George Fetter, sometimes identified (incorrectly) as, Harvey Fetter

Condition:

Some oxidation and discoloration consistent with age but overall in exceptional condition. Appropriate tone and clarity with little to no fading or staining. Corners cut on photo backer. Otherwise, this photo is of exceptional quality with consideration of its age.
