Classic 1935 Art Deco Chrome Cocktail Shaker w/ Red Catalin Handle by
Forman Brothers
A Superb Classic – the Exceptional 1935 Art Deco Chrome Cocktail
Shaker w/ Red Catalin Handle by Forman Brothers of Brooklyn, NY. This is THE Cocktail Shaker that defines Art
Deco and is sought out by serious collectors.
The shaker was designed by Sol Forman (1903-2001) in 1935 and patented
in 1936.
It features a deco angular Red Catalin handle and has a unique flanged
bottom that forms a channel around the bottom.
The pour spout has a built-in strainer and a screw on/off cap. It is smartly located in the same plane as the
handle on the opposite side. Embossed under
the shaker are fourteen classic cocktail recipes--some shaken and some stirred,
so never a need to waste brain matter on memorizing recipes ever again! Or, like me, you can use it as a display
amongst all your other Art Deco Shakers, Glasses, and Lamps!
The Superb Cocktail Shaker measures 12” high by 5-1/2" diameter
at the base. The chrome body has a few
light scratches that can be seen upon close inspection, but at arm’s length go
unnoticed. On the inside bottom center,
the chrome coating has worn off from use. Yet the
Overall Appearance & Condition, commensurate with its age of 89 yrs and use over that time,
is VG+.
The Classic Art Deco Cocktail Shaker is being offered here at a reasonable
‘Buy It Now' price….. or you can simply ‘Make An Offer’. All offers will be
seriously considered!
