The July Meeting, First Day, Tuesday 6th July, 2004.

An afternoon of quality flat racing featuring The G3 Cherry Hinton Stakes and The G1 Falmouth Stakes.

This was the first year that The Falmouth Stakes had been promoted to G1 and it featured two star fillies, the unbeaten Mark Johnston trained Attraction and the James Fanshawe trained Soviet Song. Attraction adopted her normal front running tactics only to be mowed down with fantastic finishing pace from Soviet Song to end her rivals unbeaten run. The pair would meet again later in the season in The G1 Matron Stakes in Ireland with the same result.

Soviet Song was ridden by Johnny Murtagh.
