Produced by The Perth Mint as part of the Lunar Series III, the 2023 Australian Lunar Year of the Rabbit 1 oz of 99.99% pure gold coin becomes the fourth launch of the series. With a face value of 100 Australian dollars, the piece is a legal tender backed by the Australian Government, under the Australian Currency Act, 1965.

Year of the rabbit: People born under the sign of the Chinese lunar rabbit in 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927, and every 12th preceding year are known to bestow intelligence, creativity, vigilance and compassion.

The obverse depicts Jody Clark’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. A sixth-generation design that includes her neckline and shoulders. The design was created for the Royal Mint of England in 2015. The reverse portrays a rabbit leaping among grasses with feathery plumes. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘rabbit’, the inscription ‘Rabbit 2023’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint-mark.

Bullions Returns

Due to Market Volatility, it is common practice in the precious metal industry to not accept returns for Bullion Items. For this reason, we do not accept returns on Bullion Items.

If a buyer wishes to sell back any bullion items, please contact Mint State Gold to see current buyback values based on current market conditions, as prices constantly change.

If there are any concerns with a shipment of a bullion item when sent, please either make sure to refuse delivery of the item, or if a package is accepted, please keep all original packaging materials. If not, Mint State Gold reserves the right to decline any support with that order.
