Volkolak ( Волколак ) is a Russian pagan and folk metal band , originally from Blagoveshchensk , Amur River region . Formed in 1997 , Volkolak draws its inspiration from ancient traditions and paganism, particularly Viking. Волколак ( Volkolak ) means lycanthrope in Russian.

After a long silence, Volkolak released the album Сгинуть (Disappear) in 2012 on the French label Crush the Desert Records.
