In 1905, Tanfani & Bertarelli was anointed the Vatican's official manufacturer of the high-end jewelry given to members of papal orders and those receiving papal recognition. The company's name changed to Ditta Augusto Casazza in 1967.

Tanfani & Bertarelli sold jewelry in the U.S. through a handful of authorized jewelers. This poster belonged to an authorized jeweler in New York State (exact location unknown).

• General wear consistent with age/use
• Edge wear/corner creasing
  
• Light creasing throughout
• Top edge, right of center: 1/2" (1.27 cm) tear stabilized with archival tape on reverse side
• Left edge, near top: Some ink loss along dark outside border
• Bottom edge: 2 tears stabilized with archival tape on reverse side (see 5th & last images)
  
• Bottom edge tears are 1/2" & 1/4" (1.27 & 0.64 cm)
• Bottom edge appears chipped, cracked & frayed in areas w/tears (5th & last images)
  
• Overall condition: Good
  

Additional Notes

1. Please note: This poster rolls very tightly. This has led to damage along edges consisting of tears, cracks and creases.

We applied archival-grade tape on the reverse side to stabilize two tears along the bottom edge. Poster should be unrolled with care.

Archival tape is transparent, acid-free, lignin-free, non-yellowing and specially designed to help protect and conserve items.
