  • Round jasperware / stoneware plaque with white relief portrait of Apollo, the Greco-Roman god of dance, music and poetry, healing and prophesy
  • He is displayed on brown background
  • His symbol, a lyre is also present
  • White acanthus leaf border outlines the roundel
  • Scratched text at the back "Dip / 953 K / Body 920 K"
  • Possibly experimental work or a prototype
  • Circa 1800's, England
  • Provenance: an important English pottery medallions collector
