A used copy with some splits and chips along the outside edges, loss of approx. 2cm from the base of the spine, front cover is beginning to pull loose and the rest of the leather outer spine is re-glued in place - though the gilt titles and marbled paper boards remain reasonably bright and attractive, and the book block itself remains securely bound together. Contents are severely foxed towards the front of the book, mainly affecting the title pages and frontispiece, but from p.vi onwards are generally clean and very well-presented throughout with no significant creases or tears.
