This is a huge, 1988, art book about the great French Impressionist Painter, Edgar Degas. This was the Catalogue of the first large-scale retrospective exhibition of Degas' artwork since the 1930's. The exhibition was jointly organized by 3 Museums: 1) in Paris, France, 2) in Ottawa, Canada, and 3) in New York, USA.

It is an outstanding visual memoir, telling the full story of Degas' life and development as an artist. The text covers all phases of the great artist's work, is profusely illustrated, including 281 color plates. Book is 640 pages, including Chronological Table, Bibliography, and Index.
