A scholarly, thoroughly researched book, "Ishi's Return Home" tells the story of how the Yahi survivor, Ishi made a return trip by train and horseback to his Yahi home territory during the summer of 1914. The trip from San Francisco was made aboard a Southern Pacific train. This work contains more than a hundred photos on this return by Ishi to his homeland and the Mill Creek region assembled by the author over many years. This work is a more detailed overview of this portion of his 2012 book, "Ishi's Untold Story In His First World." The idea of the trip, which was partially financed by the University of California, was suggested to Ishi by the two professors. Initially on hearing their proposal, Ishi was reluctant as he feared for his life, but in 1914 overcame this fear by making the trip and returning to San Francisco soon after. Like new, large trade paperback, clean and unmarked. 349 pages and about 1 by 8.5 by 11 inches. ANTHRO
