On offer, we have a restrike print by American western artist Edward Borein. Borein (1872-1945) was an award winning artist famous for his depictions of Spanish Colonial California, The old west, and Mexico. He was a much loved resident of Santa Barbara, Ca..
"Out Of The Gate" shows a cowboy on a bucking broncho with his hat flying through the air. This measures 10" X 11 1/2" with the image 5" X 7". It is on thick white artist's paper with a deep imprint from the printing. My understanding is that a restrike is from the original plate, but not from the first printings.
This print in pristine condition with a bold, clean and clear print. It has been handled and has some light wrinkles, with a larger one on the top right corner. Thankfully, it is not a crease. As I am not an expert on art, please view my photographs for more description.
My elegant friend is moving to a much smaller home and parting with some of her treasures. You may enjoy viewing her other Edward Borein prints I have on a separate listing at this time.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
