An old and authentic fluter or pleater iron in cast iron with brass rolls. It is about 9 by 5 by 5 1/2 inches tall. The finish appears to be original, the wood handle knob is in nice undamaged condition and the device seems to function properly. The rolls turn freely and the lever that raises the bed to engage the rollers works fine. It is signed on the bed American and it has patent dates in the 1880s. It is signed on the underside North Bros., Philadelphia, Pa.
