The Orange Crush Bass 50 is the middle of the range in the Crush Bass family. It balances the tone and features that you expect from Orange with the essentials of a practice rig. The Crush Bass 50 is a great practice amp whether you’re playing in your home studio, jamming with friends, and it could even work for small gigs. The Orange Crush 50 has a 12” speaker and a ported cabinet, allowing for an improved low-end response. There’s also a headphone output with the CabSim feature, emulating the sound of Orange’s OBC bass speaker cabinets so you’ll still get the great Orange tone even when you’re playing with headphones on to not disturb housemates or neighbours. The aux input is handy for beginners who want to learn to play along with backing tracks from their smartphone. The Orange Crush 50 has an active EQ section with a parametric midband, which means you have more control over the frequencies. There’s also Gain and Blend controls which let you get the harmonics and distortion you’d find in guitar amps, combined with the low-end bass tones, so you can get a fuller sound. These can also be switched in with the optional Orange FS1 Footswitch, sold separately. Other features include a buffered effects loop so you can play with your favourite pedals, and a built-in tuner, letting you spend more time playing and less time tuning up!The Orange Crush Bass 50 1x12 Combo is also available in BlackFor the best experience, partner with the Orange FS1 Footswitch (sold separately) for added functionality and control.<< Click here to learn more about the Orange Crush Bass Series >>Fancy an upgrade? The Crush Bass 50 draws inspiration from our flagship OB1 and 4 Stroke amplifiers, bringing some of the defining elements of each into a compact combo.Like the rest of the Crush Bass range, this 50 Watt model delivers bold and punchy lows courtesy of its analogue circuitry and ported cabinet. The extremely flexible active EQ section includes a sweepable parametric mid band, allowing players to shape their signature sound without limitations. For even more versatility, the interactive Gain and Blend controls are primed for creating enormous ‘bi-amped’-style tones with ease, adding extra harmonics and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone. They can also be switched in remotely using the optional footswitch. Other handy features include a buffered effects loop, integrated tuner, aux. input and a headphone output with our Cabsim circuitry.POWERFUL ACTIVE PARAMETRIC EQThe Crush Bass 50 features an EQ circuit inspired by our prestigious 4 Stroke Series amplifiers. The mid band covers a wide range, sweeping from 300Hz (fully counter-clockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise), meaning this amp can be fine tuned to suit any musical style. The active circuitry allows for up to 15dB of boost or cut on the bass and middle frequencies, and up to 20dB on the treble side.BLEND & GAINLifted straight from our popular OB1 Series amps, the Blend and Gain controls are a nod to the many bass players who experiment with guitar and bass amps simultaneously. In this ‘bi-amped’ setup, layers of harmonics and distortion from the guitar amp are blended with the core bass tone to create the ultimate full-range live sound.
