2 Old Cabinet Catches Cupboard Latches White Porcelain Knob 1871 Vintage Iron

These were used on cabinets, jelly cupboards and all sorts of furniture. 


  • These latches were made from cast iron
  • There is a patent date on the back FEB 7 1871
  • The latches have none of the old paint remaining
  • The small porcelain knobs have a few tiny specks and slight discolored stains that don't show in pics
  • There are no chips in the porcelain
  • The old finish was removed along with the layers of old oil based paint.
  • Each knob is solid cast brass
  • The cast iron is lightly pitted from rust
  • A set of old screws is included.
  • The latches were cleaned and oiled to prevent rust
  • They are ready for paint. Just wash with soap and water.
  • Each latch is 3" long 
  • 1 5/8" wide.
