These 3-pack of Buon Vino Mini Jet Filters are the official replacement filter pads for the Buon Vino Mini Jet wine filter (view our other items if you want to buy the actual filtering machine!). We offer 3 different styles of pads depending on how much sediment is in your wine and what type of wine you are filtering. Every shop or at home winemaker has their own method or practice of doing things, but we suggest if you need (or want to) filter twice, start with the #1 pads followed by a #2 pad. Alternatively, if you have low sediment, we suggest just filtering once with a #2 pad.
The #1 pads are Coarse Pads. (5 - 7 microns) They remove large particulate in a heavy wine, typically those heavy reds. If your racking didn't go as planned or your wine has a lot of sediment, you'll want to start with these coarse pads.
The Mini Jet #2 Pads are Polishing Pads (1.5 - 2.5 microns) and they remove medium to small particulate and adds brilliance to your wine. These are typically the most used pad out of the three types.
The Mini Jet #3 pads are Sterile Pads (1 - .5 microns) very tight pads that remove small particulate in your wine. We strongly recommend and suggest that you filter with the #2 pads before filtering with the #3 pads.
