Cartridge Battery Replacement Service

You are purchasing a battery replacement service for your classic game cartridges.  If your old cart is not saving anymore, or you are getting a “clock-based events” error (which occurs with some Pokemon games), then most likely your battery has run dry inside your cartridge.  This service will replace the battery inside each cartridge restoring saving or real-time clock features back to your game.

Below are the supported cartridge formats for this service:

• Nintendo Entertainment System
• Super Nintendo Entertainment System
• Nintendo 64
• Game Boy
• Game Boy Color
• Game Boy Advance
• Sega Genesis

How It Works:

After purchase, you are provided with my shipping address for you to send your games.  Securely package your games and include your eBay user ID in the package.  After I receive your games, I will open your carts, remove the spent battery and solder in a brand new replacement.  The cartridge contacts are cleaned, reassembled and tested on original hardware to ensure the repair was completed successfully.  They are then repackaged to ship back to you.

Shipping Recommendation:

Please package your games with bubble wrap and place securely in a box.  Do not ship your games in any kind of envelope mailer as this will most likely result in damage to the cartridge in shipping and can easily break the packaging and become lost.

Processing Time:

This listing allows for 30 days processing. This is to ensure there is ample time for your games to arrive to me, and for me to return them to you after replacing their batteries.  Once received, the processing time for any amount of cartridges is at most two (2) days.

Important Notes:

• If a game is received that does not contain a battery for replacement, then you will be refunded the service amount for a single game. Not including shipping.
• Games are tested on receipt.  If they are found to be damaged or non-functional, then the battery replacement will not be conducted.  No attempt to repair the game will be made; this is a battery replacement service, not a repair service.  The unaltered game cartridge will be returned to you and you will be refunded the service amount for the single cartridge. Not including shipping.
• Reproduction, aftermarket, counterfeit, or “bootleg” cartridges will not be serviced, and will be returned unaltered.
• Return shipping is non-refundable.
• Shipping to my address is not included, and must be purchased separately by the buyer.
• All save data on cartridges will be erased, except for gameboy/color games if service is purchased.  By nature of the battery replacement process, the save memory will be reset.
