Not very many shutter latches were made this short. Maybe 1 out of 300 latches were made like this.


  • Similar latches are dated APRIL 25 1861 and SEPT 18 1860.
  • It has a little rust and heavy green paint on it.
  • A set of used rusty screws is included
  • It would look great on a garden shed, a rustic jelly cupboard, a cabinet or all sorts of furniture. 
  • Also it would be great for barn or house shutters for a rustic historic look on a door.
  • This latch has a locking lever to keep the slide bolt from moving back and forth.
  • The slide bar moves and the lever turns
  • This shutter slide bolt would give a historic look to your home. 
  • The latch is 7 1/2 long 
  • 2 1/2" wide.
