Vtg Yorkraft Colonial PrimitiveTavern Sign Reproduction "Drink for the Thirsty"

This vintage tavern sign reproduction by Yorkraft, Inc. is a true collector's item. With its Colonial Primitive style, it features a poem by a tavern keeper of the time, beginning with "Drink for the Thirsty"... in bold green, red, brown, and cream colors. The sign is made of high-quality wood and measures 12 inches in length, 7 inches in width, and 1 inch in thickness. The sign's creation date falls between 1950-1969, and it was purchased on a family trip through Pennsylvania to the East Coast in the 1950s--and hung in our recreation room for more than 50 years. This sign item is perfect for collectors of Primitives and Antiques alike and will make a great addition to any collection.

As stated on the back of the sign, 17th and 18th century Colonial taverns hung sign-boards like this outside their establishment. This sign-board and the others produced in their "Tavern Signs of Early America" series by Yorkraft, in York, PA, were reduced in size for reproduction.

Sign has been maintained in a smoke-free, pet-free household.
