Illustrated with frontispieces to all but 'Persuasion', illuminated letters and headpieces.
This set includes five popular works from the noted Jane Austen. The set includes 'Northanger Abbey', 'Emma', 'Pride and Prejudice', 'Sense and Sensibility' and 'Persuasion' with lovely frontispieces by the engraver 'Greatbatch'.
CONDITION
Bound in half calf with cloth to the boards. Externally generally smart with fading to the spines resulting in loss to the gilt text and details, marks to the boards, heavier to the rear to 'Sense and Sensibility, slight rubbing to the extremities and spine label missing to 'Emma'. Bookplate belonging to a 'Elizabeth C. Swinton' to the front pastedowns. Internally firmly bound with very lightly age toned and clean pages.
