The M8 Greyhound is a light armoured vehicle of the US Army that showed great performance in reconnaissance missions during the Second World War by making use of its high speed. It has a flat-configured body with an open-top turret and is equipped with the 37 mm gun M6 as the main gun, which can fire a variety of different types of shells. Some vehicles had an additional ring mount for the machine gun on top of the turret. The petrol engine mounted on the rear of the chassis produced 110 hp, and together with the six-wheel drive suspension, the M8 boasted a top speed of 88.5 km/h. Around 8,500 M8s were produced between March 1943 and April 1945, mainly on the European front as the vanguard of armoured units. It was also supplied to the Free French Army, the Commonwealth of Nations and other Allied countries, and continued to be operated by many after the war. The M8 Greyhound, which became the eye of the US Army as it raced across the battlefield, is modelled with a wide range of accessory parts. The kit is a special edition kit that will also enhance the image of your scenery. This 1/35 scale plastic model kit of the M8 Greyhound is a light armoured vehicle of the US Army. The interior of the vehicle is finished with parts for the radio and fire extinguisher as well as the seats, giving it a dense finish. The M1919 machine gun mounted on the turret is also reproduced in precise detail. The back side of the chassis, including the driveshaft and suspension, is also modelled with a rich three-dimensional effect. The large fenders on the left and right sides are selectable. Accessory parts such as drum cans and ammunition boxes are provided to expand the image of scene production. The ration carton is made of highly textured paper and gives the M8 an effective effect. Includes one doll of the commander who warns of the surroundings and one doll of a soldier who carries ammunition boxes. Includes 4 types of decals. Features:- The light style with six wheels and an open-top turret on a flat body is modelled with a rich sense of reality. The set also includes a commander's doll with binoculars in hand, giving the model a realistic feel. The model can be fully loaded with the cargo often seen in battlefield photos thanks to the abundance of accessory parts. The turret-mounted M1919 machine gun is also notable for its precise detail. Soldier dolls carrying ammunition boxes, drum cans and ration cartons are also provided. The model can be combined with the vehicle to create scenes. The carton for rations called "10 in 1" developed by the US Army is a paper craft with a realistic texture. 8 sets can be produced and can be assembled with the sleeves removed to reveal the contents.
