This is a 'Buy it Now' for an Second Anglo-Boer War Queen's South Africa Medal.

QSA (3rd type Reverse) with Transvaal and South Africa 1902 clasps.

Medal with officially impressed naming in capitals to: 4087 PTE. C. MARTIN. HAMPSHIRE REGT.

Mr Martin served with the 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment during the Second Anglo-Boer War, with both his clasps confirmed on the roll (dated 12 December 1902), which also notes that following his service in South Africa he was transferred to the Army Reserve.

His medal is in a nice near EF condition with an attractive rainbow toning at the edges and it comes with short piece of the correct ribbon attached and with a copy of the QSA Medal Roll for Mr Martin.

Also included is a page from the document, 'National Roll of the Great War', which notes a C. Martin, 16th Hampshire Regiment, volunteered for service in the Great War in September 1914 and was engaged in Special Duties in the UK, before serving in France from early 1916....recording his service at the Somme and Ypres Battles with an address in Portsmouth and a BWM and VM entitlement. This needs further investigation as it may well be the same man.

Otherwise Mr Martin is totally unresearched, so a nice project for the regimental collector.
