RARE STEINBACH NATIVITY WITH 3 WISE MEN

Fabulous old Nativity set made by Steinbach in the Erzgebirge region of East Germany. The Nativity features the Holy Family with baby Jesus in a manger, 3 sheep and all 3 Wise Men Kings. There is a tiny candle holder in one corner. The stable is a traditional German log chalet style. Wonderfully hand painted and detailed. The figures all look to be in the known style of Wendt Kuhn, so I wonder if they worked together with Steinbach for their earlier non - nutcracker figurines, Nativities and music box scenes.

The Virgin Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child under the shelterhut made of raw logs, and behind it the Christmas forest. The Magi from the East in wonderful colours surrounded by the curious little sheep. The candle fixed besides the crib is giving a mild and festive light and contributing to the right ideas and the festive mood of Christmas-time. This thoughtful Christmas decoration will find it's place in every house because it is nor too big neither too small. 

SUPER RARE - I searched Worthpoint and other online references and can not find a single previous listed sale of this Nativity with the 3 Wise Men in recent years. 

SOLD AS IS: Some chipped paint / loss, star may have been repaired and both rear legs missing (pads have been placed on each back corner).
