1966 Genuine Queen Elizabeth II Sixpence (uncirculated or Extra Fine Used)  + a free white gift bag to present it in (see similar photo) - coin is mounted loosely in cellophane on a white printed card which fits into the free gift bag

The Sixpence (often considered lucky) is a genuine Extra Fine Used coin minted by the Royal Mint in 1966

An excellent great value pendant which makes a very thoughtful gift and keepsake.

This sixpence, known colloquially as the tanner, or half-shilling, was a genuine British pre-decimal coin. There is a well-known tradition of the bride wearing 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.' A silver sixpence in the bride's shoe is a traditional good luck wedding gesture, a symbol of wishing her prosperity, love and happiness in her marriage. They were also used as a good luck charm by Royal Air Force aircrews in the 2nd world war.
