  • Hinged top lid with a white porcelain knob handle
  • A space for a label, which would be slid on the lid to mark the contents
  • Beautiful lithographed ornamentation all around

  • Cartouche mark on the back - GINNA & CO. N.Y. DECORATORS OF SHEET METAL

  • Made by Ginna & Company of Brooklyn, New York. Established by Stephen A. Ginna and started production in 1874, the company became well known for their quality and elaborate lithographed tin ware. Ginna & Co. was acquired by the American Can Company in 1901

  • Antique, last quarter of the 19th century. All original!
