On offer, we have a restrike etching by American western artist Edward Borein. Borein (1872-1945) was an award winning artist famous for his depictions of Spanish Colonial California, The Old West, and Mexico. He was a much loved resident of Santa Barbara, Ca..
"Roping A Longhorn" shows two cowboys catching a runaway Longhorn. This is signed in the print "Edward Borein". It is printed in black ink on thick artist's paper. This measures 11" X 18" with the image 6" X 13 1/2". My understanding is that a restrike is printed from the original copper plate, but not from the first printing; possibly made posthumously.
This print in pristine condition. The etching has a deep imprint and is bold and clear. As I am not an expert on art, please view my photographs for more description.
My elegant friend is moving to a much smaller home and parting with some of her treasures. You may be interested in viewing the other Edward Borein prints I have on offer at this time.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
