This listing is for a “Wetterstein” Antique Etching / Engraving / Lithograph SIGNED Original Art Vtg. It is signed by the artist as well as titled below the image in pencil. I am unsure the exact age but based on its style I believe late 19th to early 20th century. I have been unable to decipher the signature as of yet, may be by a listed artist. It is not numbered, leading me to believe this is a one of a kind original. The impressions of the stone or plate around the image are viable from when it was made, it captures a lot of nice crisp details and doesn’t have any blotting or visible errors, so if its not one of a kind its a very early one on the run. It depicts the imposing Wetterstein mountains and a sleepy little village beneath surrounded by scraggly pines & blanketed in snow. It is executed with great skill, capturing the shadows, stillness , and peaceful atmosphere itself to freeze them in a single moment. It is a great, possibly one of a kind piece for collectors, artists, display / decor in the home or office, gifting, galleries, and more!

This piece comes unframed, backed by a piece of cardboard. It is in good condition, with some minor wear from age & being unframed. It has some smoothed crease lines, as well as one very tiny spot of foxing on the back. The corners have some wear, and there are a few marks on the margins, but no major damage to the scene itself.
