This listing is for an Art Deco Figural CAMEL antique / vintage Glass Ashtray. It has a fantastic art deco style, with a multi-ridged bottom that gives a neat 3d effect, as well as the camel in the center. I am unsure if this is a piece of advertising for the actual Camel Cigarettes brand, or it is just lucky coincidence. It appears to be a piece from the early 1920s- at latest early 1940s, but it is not marked by a maker. The tiered base can fit 4 cigarettes. Can also be used for pens, calligraphy, paintbrushes, and more. It was sourced from a large Pennsylvania estate containing many unusual and unique pieces of vintage & antique glass. I have not been able to find another like it. It is an excellent item for collectors of ashtrays / other tobacciana, camel brand items, advertising, glass, and more! Great for gifting, display / decor, use, etc.

It is in very good, near mint, condition. It has no chips, cracks, or other major damage. The delicate detailed center figure of the camel, the part most usually fleabitten & chipped on ashtrays like this one, is in excellent shape. Its tail is even still intact! (Wait till you see it in person and you’ll realize how impressive that is!). It appears to be painted and not a different color of glass- the paint is in good shape, just about all there as far as I can tell, and adds a nice bit of color. There is a small mould flaw on the head- near invisible except under extremely close inspection. The base has a ridge from the mould along the seam, not unusual, and some natural bubbles. By the camels feet in the base there appears to be some sort of mould flaws, a few line like marks in the glass. They do not touch the outside at all, and appear to be completely stable and harmless.
