VINTAGE ARTHUR MERRIC BOYD POTTERY BOWL
Presenting a fantastic vintage Australian Studio Pottery bowl expertly handcrafted and signed by the legendary artist Arthur Merric Boyd. This piece was originally purchased from the renowned "Primrose Pottery Shop Melbourne" and bears the retailers stamp to the base.
This sleekly curved bowl is beautifully finished with a delightful musk pink glaze to the exterior and an appealing oxide green to the interior. Horizontal ribbing to the exterior adds a wonderfully tactile element to the hand crafted form which a delight to hold.
The stylish modernist design remains just as appealing today as when it was first produced somewhere between 1940-1960.
SIZE: This delightful piece stands approx 55mms tall and measures 145mms in diameter.
CONDITION: This piece is presented in good vintage condition, with no big chips, cracks or repairs. There is are a coupe of absolutely minuscule rough spots to the top rim and some light and fine crazing noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an inscribed signature "AMB" along with the retailers stamp "Primrose Pottery Shop Melbourne".
