This set up was purchased to make Axes to then sell, the idea to buy the hand Forged Axe heads and then make/Turn the Handles.
The Lathe is in full working order and is perfect for the simple task of making Axe/Tool handles. You can Turn up to a 1 Meter Long Handle and any smaller size, it also comes with the stand so no need to Mount it to a table or similar.
The Ash Wood is all dry and high quality Lengths, the cost for this alone was around £400.
Once complete each Axe made to a high standard would sell for anywhere between £40-£100.
Only reason for sale is i never got around to starting the project and i now have no time to do it.
