Carlton "Gaelic" Marching Snare Drum (Double Snare)

14x12 Chromium-plated, mirror finish, metal shell. Needs a polish, shell has scraps and dents.  Made in the 1960s by the Dallas Company in London, England.

These drums were regarded as the best Marching drums preferably used by Pipe Band and during 1947 - 1965 played by the winning bands in the World Championships. Bands like.l Glasgow City Police, Shotts & Dykehead, Edinburgh City Police etc buy were used by bands across the world such as St. Laurence O' Toole, Renfrew Pipe, 402 Light Regt, Alva Pipe, The Black Watch and London Scottish.

As time past other companies developed their drums. I think eventually Dallas was bought over by Premier.
