BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE NIGHTGOWN
40-ish bust - see notes below
This wonderful nightdress is by respected makers Vanity Fair, on the old, 'blue script' label. It is extremely glamourous and impressive!
In a pale aqua shade, the gown is in sheer silky nylon - so smooth and slick it almost feels damp! The trims are pretty floral lace. N.B. It looks almost white in the photos but it's definitely aqua!
The gown has a fitted bodice in nylon with an overlay of lace, back and front. The shoulder straps are lacy too.
It is gently tailored into the high waist and the full skirt flares widely down to a 104" hemline, finished with more pretty lace.
Size notes: the gown is labelled 40 and fits that size bust or a little larger or smaller. The hips are full and the gown is full length at 55" long, from the top of the shoulders to the hem.
The gown is in excellent condition overall (though at least 60 years old!) gently laundered for freshness. There are a few very small faults: the lace is starting to come away from the nylon a little at the side/top of the bodice, one strap needs a stitch and there are a couple of teensy pinholes (though they are hard to find!) That's being very picky - apart from that it's completely sound! Please see photos.
A stunning vintage gown with glamourous, 'movie-star' looks. Deliciously slick and flowing, incredibly sensuous to wear - don't miss this rare beauty! Highly recommended.
