This is the genuine segment off a  rear fairing from Ayrton Senna’s F1 McLaren MP46 car, which is the car he drove in his final season as world champion in 1991. This is a race used piece of F1 memorabilia, making it even rarer than other pieces. There are marks on the fairing which happened during the race.

This item was gifted to Jay Jay Burridge by Ronald Dennis CBE, the managing director of McLaren at the time, along with a number of other pieces from Ayrton Senna’s car. These pieces were given to him in 1992 when he was commissioned to created a one off sculpture for McLaren. Amongst other places, the sculpture was on display at the 2004 ‘Remembering Ayrton Senna’ Tribute Exhibition. Although this feral was not used in the sculpture, it is a race used part. It is extremely rare for any Formula 1 team to give away cars, in particularly McLaren, making this piece even more sort after. This is an extremely rare piece of Formula1 history and it won’t be around for long. We have had this professionally framed so it is ready for you to display proudly. This item comes with a cover letter from Ron Dennis as well as a letter from Jay Jay Burridge to authenticate the item and give the buyer some more backstory about the item. We have a number of similar pieces available, drop us a message for more information. We would prefer for collection of this item, however delivery can be arranged. Please liaise with us to arrange. Please message us to enquire about international sales.

As each piece is hand cut in house, the piece you receive  may not be exactly the same as the one in the picture, however each one is cut from the same fairing.
