Illustrated with sixty-two maps and plans including folding maps and those in colour and the arms of the Popes. Collated, lacking twelve illustrations. 

This work was written and published by German publisher and writer Karl Baedeker. Baedeker was best known for his publishing company and the travel guides he created. This work provides a comprehensive handbook for tourists visiting Paris, with numerous maps and plans and guides to transportation. The work also contains details on routes from London to Paris.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with slight bumping to the tail of the spine and extremities, slight bumping and small closed tears to the tail of the spine with light rubbing to the spine and joints and the odd minor mark. Bookseller's label to the pastedown. Internally binding strained in places with folding map of central Italy and Rome and pp. 23 and the following plates disbound but present. Pages lightly age toned and clean with the odd small closed tear. Lacking twelve illustrations.
