Back for sale due to time waster. If you don’t have permission from your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/life partner please stay away.

Originally a 1.1c. Now has mk2 gti 1.8 8v engine and box. Coil overs, uprated anti roll bars and bushes. Stainless exhaust that sound sweet, gives a well nice little burble when you back off or down shift. 4 new tyres just before mot. Drives and handles perfect. Plenty of grip but still quite comfy to drive. You forget it’s 40 years old. Just had oil, filter and plugs changed. I took the windows out to have a bit of paintwork done around the window frames. I have photos of the areas before the windows went back in. I elbowed the screen while it was out and cracked it so I found another with a blue visor on it and fitted that. It looks way better than the origional.

From the 1st of April it can be reclassified as historic so mot and tax exempt and you can drive in the ulez. Current mot runs out on 26/11/24.

Changed the fuse box last year and removed the aftermarket alarm as it was playing up and wouldn’t let the car start.

The car looks sweet in the photos. I’ve tried to get pics of the worst bits. The paint is chipped or cracked in places. The video probably shows this best. A good machine polish will make it look good. The roof has been painted at some point and the primer hasn’t stuck causing the paint to lift. The roof is also a slightly different colour to the rest of the car. I do have a small tin of paint for little touch ups.

Sunroof has been sealed shut by a previous owner.

I changed the blue ribbon pcb on the back of the clocks for a proper circuit board made by Da Martin in Austria. Very nice bit of kit and everything in the dash works.

I changed all the dash lights to green LED’s and fitted new gauges in the centre console.

The rear wiper doesn’t work. The heated rear screen does but not quite all the way down.

It comes with loads of old paper work from previous owners. Before the conversion and after. I had a book with details of the car the engine come from. Parts used, wiring and dates of things done.

I have more photos of the car if needed.

Located in burntwood staffs.

I can only really do viewings on weekends due to work.

No test drives unless you can prove you’re insured. No proof and I’ll drive you around in it.

Sure I’ve missed bits off.

Watch the video to see the worst bits of the paint. Cracks on bonnet and boot. Paint lifting on roof and a few other bits. The car is a 1m car. Look mint until you get up close.

Any questions please ask.
