This is a great vintage 1971 stainless steel and yellow gold Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 with "Wide Boy" dial and hands out of an estate.

 The watch is in a 36 mm stainless steel case and will fit 20 mm straps. The case and crystal show light scratches. 

Serial number 2663XXX, dates to 1971. The case back is date coded I.71. The model and serial numbers are legible clearly readable between the lugs. The dial has 2 small damage spots. You can see them in the photo.

The watch is currently running and is keeping time within about 10 sec/day according to our timing machine. We do not know the service history on this watch and recommend it be serviced after purchase. The crown screws down about a turn and one half. We do not guarantee the timekeeping on this watch.
