This is a gouache portrait painting of a woman feeling pushed into new directions. I hand painted this piece in a naive painterly art style on 76 lb acid free colored paper with gouache paint. The lightweight nature of the paper mixed with gouache & water resulted in crinkles and buckling in certain areas. This contributes to the raw, imperfect aesthetic of the artwork, making it all the more endearing and unique.
