Glamour Wedding: Amid traditional Hollywood glitter, Alan Ladd's step-daughter, Carol Lee Ladd, becomes the bride of actor Dick Anderson in a lavish, outdoor ceremony attended by more than 500 film luminaries. The 21-year-old bride, daughter of Sue Carol, walks down an avenue of candles and over a bridge built for the occasion across the swimming pool of the Ladd's home. The couple, both graduates of UCLA, whisper their vows in a double-ring ceremony performed by the Reverend A.J. Soldan of the Village Lutheran Church on the expansive lawn and under a circus tent set up over Ladds' patio. The newlyweds are then honored at a gala reception and supper after which they leave on their honeymoon. Alan Ladd leaves off his flying clothes, which he wears for his starring role in Warner Bros.' "The McConnell Story" and is resplendent in white tie and tailcoat as he gives the bride in marriage. The bride's sister, Alana Ladd, is maid of honor, her brother David Ladd serves as ring bearer. The bride's gown is raw silk with pearl-trimmed mandarin collar and an enormous train. --- (Left to right): Carol Lee, Sue Carol and Alana Ladd --- Dick Anderson Photo measures 7.5 x 9.5 inches.
