This BLURAY is BRAND NEW!! FACTORY SEALED!! NEVER OPENED!! It includes all the original cases, covers, inserts and, of course, the DVD itself. Dogma (Special Edition) [2008] It's a thing with dogmas. Dogmas - these are firmly established principles of belief - unfortunately have to be defined as immovable in themselves. Forever, that is, forever. With his satire dogma, Kevin Smith demonstrates that this is not a good condition, in which the Catholic Church in particular is currently in a lasting, strange, but above all extremely snappy. What's the matter? By apparent coincidence, the two exile angels Loki (Matt Damon) and Bartleby (Ben Affleck) discover that there is still a way back to heavenly realms for them who have fallen out of favor with God. None other than the Catholic Church itself delivers God's infallibility because a bishop in New Jersey feels a certain need to modernize his institution. Well, and now we come to dogma. The thing is now: the bishop offers all those who walk through his church gate on this special day the remission of all their sins. What could be more obvious for our two fallen angels on earth than to go on a little trip to New Jersey to get back home? Nothing, exactly. There is only one problem: God actually banished them and the Church opens the back door to them, so to speak. If they could do it, God couldn't do anything more because ... oh, see for yourself. Theological discussions would only bore you at this point. Of course Heaven does a lot - including the last descendant of Christ in the form of Linda Fiorentino, the 13th apostle, who was unjustly embezzled for racist reasons and is given by Chris Tucker, a Greek muse who suffers from writing difficulties and who plays Salma Hayek, and the incarnate voice of God named Alan Rickman - on the move to prevent the return of the angels. Because this would mean the annihilation of all being. Oh yes, there are apostles too. Two pretty weird ones, to be exact. And if they have always adored Alanis Morissette, their fans will know why at the latest according to dogma! Greek muses, revenge angels that bear the name of a Nordic deity, director Kevin Smith of course doesn't take it so exactly with the hard facts. Something that a satire doesn't have to either. Behind all the really refreshing, sometimes rather rough provocation, Smith believes especially the Catholic, not really out of the question. But it definitely stimulates thought. Besides that, it's just fun to look at!
