Chlorastrolite is the the scientific name for these bluish green stones, however they are commonly known as "Isle Royale Greenstone" as that is the island where they were first discovered. The location is now highly protected and no Greenstones are allowed to be removed from there so all of our Greenstones are ethically & legally obtained from inland sources.

The cabochon above features beautiful bright patterning and the total weight is 1g.

Our Greenstones are sourced from the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan.

We hand cut and polished this lovely stone, but please note that we didn't cut a girdle into the bottom of it. See last photo of two irregularities on the base ( 2 chips).
