In the late 1920s, AC&F introduced the Type 27 tank car design. Tens of thousands of tank cars were built to this design, and many carried acids and other heavy chemicals. The Semet Solvay company had a fleet of tank cars that ran nationwide to handle the byproducts of coke production.

This extremely rare tank car kit was only available at Naperville RPM for one year and is the only way to model this unique and ubiquitous tank car prototype. The first photo is of a completed model, which is not included. Now you have the opportunity to add this car to your very own railroad.
