Beautiful atmospheric watercolour painting by Walter Williams. I don’t think it’s THE Walter Williams listed artist because I think this painting dates from later than that artists lifetime. However, I’m not an art expert by any means! I buy things because I like them or because they have sentimental significance to me. This has both.

Anyone who has visited Cornwall and the Roseland Peninsula will probably have visited the Church in St Just in Roseland. Built in the 12c with later additions in the 13thc and 15thc. It’s so very beautiful, situated by the river and with such a peaceful atmosphere. Indeed, Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman declared that Just in Roseland Churchyard to be the loveliest in England and compared it to the Garden of Eden.

This, however, is a different perspective on the church. Not the usual sunlight and flowers but rather the spiritual, almost ethereal character as the church sits quietly in the moonlight.

It’s framed and mounted and, in my opinion, in excellent vintage condition. Please view the pictures carefully and satisfy yourself as to appearance and condition. If you want any other pictures, please ask and I’ll ask my son to take them as he’s a far better photographer than I am!

I’m selling loads of my stuff so please take time to view my other listings.

I pack my items very carefully to do my best to ensure their safe arrival to you. To help me with this, a small amount is included in the P&P price. I won’t compromise on the packaging quality.
