A gorgeous sterling silver antique cigarette case, beautifully detailed with a repousse pattern of flowers, scrollwork, leaves, and fanciful embellishments of the era. The backside of the case is simply blank. The front also has an entwined monogram very lightly engraved in the center. The inside of the case has a gold wash. Could not find any hallmarks for a company, but this is a beautifully made piece for sure.
The case measures 3 1/4" x 3 3/8" and rather than being flat like some cases, this has a gentle curved shape which is shown in the photos provided.
We've left the original lovely patina intact on the case as it really adds to the overall look of the repousse details.
There's no damage to this piece--no serious bumps, nicks, no serious scratches, nothing more than light surface marks to mention which are shown in photos provided. The case opens and shuts snugly, and the little interior pieces to hold cigarettes or whatever in place looks good as well.
