On offer, we have the original 1882 catalog "Puttees And Leggings" from Western Manufacturing Company, San Francisco. This is a 9" X 6" soft cover booklet with 15 illustrated pages. Western Leather Company was a U.S. Government Quartermaster's contractor for WWI, WWII, the Korean War and into the Vietnam War. They made holsters, belts, leggings, puttees and assorted GI pieces of leather and canvas. This catalog advertises the items for officers, aviators, motorcycles, and both male and female civilians. Each item is described with a price. Again, this is an original, not a re-print.
This catalog is in excellent condition. The pages are clean and clear with no writing. I did find a small spot on the top right corner of the cover. As I am not an expert on rare books, please see my photographs for more description.
This is from my friend who collects everything and is moving to a much smaller home. Now, he is starting to part with a few of his treasures.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
