Treasures of Tutankhamun, New Orleans Museum of Art in City Park: King Tut: Model Boat: Part of a miniature navy found in the tomb, this model boat has only steering paddles; there are neither oars nor sails. Such barges could have been towed in a flotilla on formal occasions or could have traveled downstream with the current. The fore and aft screens for the crew and the central passenger cabin are painted in imitation of colorful reed matting.
