  • Shipping: FREE domestic shipping.   We do ship International but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate.  If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates.  We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.

This antique jar is a cigar jar, it has a hollow 'button' handle on the top of the lid.  Back in the day a moist piece of sponge/fabric was kept in this hollow to act as a humidifier to keep the cigars fresh.  This is an incredibly ornate and well built vessel.  It is blown of thick, heavy glass, and it is of fancy beveled design.  It was designed and fashioned like this to compliment its place on the counter of a saloon or store, which is also why it was so well built, to survive the handling and ravishes of time.  These types of ornate glass jars were not mass produced or sold commercially per se, but this is a jar that was made to last and to be displayed while it was in service, and to be used over and over again, and it still stands strong today, check it out!
