I truly love this necklace!  It was offered ONLY in the 1996 Girl Scout catalog, and is described as, "24K Gold Plate charm or pendant on an 18 inch Gold Filled chain."  It sparkles like new and were sold to me as Brand New on the original white cards.  The embossing on the front is a running Girl Scout waving something in her hand.  You can almost feel her excitement.  The high points are shiny and the background is subdued making her stand out nicely.  The description in the 1996 catalog is, "... adaption of the cover of the 1930 NES Camping Catalog by artist, Jessie Gillespie Willing."  Be sure to look at the fourth picture.  I have never seen this embossed hallmark on a Girl Scout item.  It says, "Girl Scouts of the U.S.A."   I have several different pictures so that you can see that the lighting changes the look.   I originally bought this for myself, and lately had the opportunity to buy several, thus the reduced price from $125 per the Girl Scout catalog.
