The unit has safety features built in including thermal protection, over voltage protection and short circuit protection.

The electronic over voltage protection will shut down the 5v line in less than 50ms in the unlikely event that it rises above 5.5v thus protecting your valuable c64.

Externally it is smaller and lighter than the original Commodore power unit and comes with UK mains cable.

Please note this power supply is for UK / Europe and so input voltage must be in the range of 220-240v.
