Ultra-rare, maybe wearable 1989 Nike Quantum Force Hi in very good vintage condition without OG box, but a replacement modern Nike box is included.
I say maybe wearable, as the soles are pretty hard and shiny, if you know vintage sneakers, you'll know what I mean. The sole units seem to have hardened over the years and show some signs of brittleness, mainly on the bottoms, which show a few cracks/fissures.
These have been restored all over, with uppers repainted, sidewalls also, as were the heeltabs. I didn't go mad on the repaint, to show their quality, but it is a restoration job I mainly did to display the shoes, not wear them.
Having said that, I did replace the original Air unit which had crumbled to dust, with an exact sized piece of EVA, so they could be worn, if desired. You might get one or two wears, but it is 100% NOT RECOMMENDED! These were also re-glued in places, and you can see the leather was cracked and is also super-hard now too, so not sure it would bend with wear.
Padding has crystalised and is crunchy to touch. Holes inside the lining, also. Synthertic leather tongue is cracked on the right shoe where it meets the toebox. Plastic heeltabs have cracked, but haven't fall apart due to being material-backed, but I did repaint them lightly. Again, more a collection piece than anything.
Full leather uppers, with synthetic leather tongues. Again, uppers have been meticulously repainted in parts, carefully done not to make them look painted, so all edges, stitching etc has been kept OG. There was scuffs on the front of the left shoe that was repainted, see close-ups.
Again, any damage incurred from use is the buyer’s responsibility, I am not liable for damage caused once sent out.
Detailed pics which are a true representation of the shoe's condition. Remember, these are 34-year-old shoes, so be sure to have a good look over all the pictures. No angles obscured and all sides shown, so no surprises upon delivery. Killer, decent-sized OG 90s b'ball shoe, which is a welcome addition to any vintage Nike collection. Be quick!
